State of the Art Training Facility
State of the Art Training Facility Plans are underway for a new 45,000 square foot training facility including state of the art equipment like heated down draft spray booths, frame racks, measuring systems and supplied fresh air systems along with comfortable classrooms with the latest technology. The training facility will provide the industries top certifications for technicians, management and business improvement classes for owners and managers. With our training facility located in Northern California you and your staff will spend minimal time away from your business.

Collision Repair Institute
There’s a huge demand for Collision Repair Technicians. Downing has spent the last couple of years helping recruit high school students in Northern California for UTI. Beginning in the fall of 2006 Downing will start recruiting high school students for our Collision Repair Institute. From welding and cutting to frame alignment and painting our students will receive hands-on training to repair structural and non-structural damage on cars and trucks. They will also learn how to prepare a cost estimate and repair mechanical and electrical damage.

Technician Training
Downing has DuPont, Spies Hecker, and PPG factory trained technicians available "locally", who are in the field daily to help you with your technical difficulties. When you need us, we respond quickly. Whether you have a specific product issue you need help with, or need immediate on-site training for a new technician, we're there, as a true partner should be!

I-CAR GOLD CLASS
We are working with I-Car to market and promote training throughout Northern California. Downing Paint understands the importance of ongoing training for technicians and the need for a Gold Class rating.

Safety Plans
Downing Paint provides a service that evaluates your Safety, Respiratory, and Air District plans and procedures. After the evaluation process we offer
assistance in writing, correcting and maintaining a working safety and
compliance plan.
